Callaway Big Bertha
The Callaway Big Bertha driver was first introduced in the early 1990's and has made quite a name for itself. When first sold, it was considered a very modern driver since it had a large head and was made almost entirely of stainless steel and no wood. Since its inception, it has had a few different models associated to the Big Bertha name including the Great Big Bertha driver as well as a couple of different iron sets.
The Big Bertha FT Fusion driver was a favorite among professionals including Phil Mickelson who used it on tour in the mid-2000's. Its technology allowed for a lighter club head (almost a quarter of the whole head weight). Different versions were made which repositioned the weight in different locations on the head depending on the skill level of the player.
The Callaway Big Bertha 460 offers a head almost as large as the limits would allow and is designed for maximum distance and forgiveness. This club has the highest MOI found in a Callaway driver made entirely of titanium. It has a flat crown and shallow face and a deeper center of gravity which offers longer and more accurate shots.
