Ping Rapture
The Ping Rapture driver is a great club if you are a regular player looking for a driver to help straighten your shots. This is made possible since it offers a low spin rate and mid launch. This club is made in a crescent shape and has weights made of tungsten in the heel and toe. The weights, combined with the lightweight titanium increases the weight around the perimeter, giving a lower center of gravity. In order to increase distance, the face is various thicknesses, which helps in increase ball speed.
Currently, Ping offers the Rapture V2 which also combines titanium and tungsten which offers a high launch and low spin. Like the original Ping Rapture, the tungsten weights are positioned for a deep center of gravity and draws it away from the face of the club. The thin face as been expertly crafted to maximize ball speed. The face has been expanded and crown angled with the large 460cc head being slightly elongated which gives an aggressive appearance and feel.
The Ping Rapture comes in four different lofts ranging from 9 to 13.5 degrees and comes with a 45.75 inch graphite shaft that is offered with soft to extra stiff flex.
